Bright Blessings!

I am reviving my Thursday Healing List, and hopefully many other aspects of this blog. As I was assembling my new Reiki Grid, I decided to make an outdoor space for the Grid, along with a place to meditate, make offerings, and general gratitude and blessings.

Luckily, I have a lovely little space on the West side of our property. 

It is currently the site of another failed attempt to grow veggies in the High Desert climate of Southern Arizona. The small herb garden, however, is thriving and I will concentrate on growing that area. since they seem to resist the critters and the heat.

Sweet mint, chocolate mint, sage, rosemary, and thyme have so far survived. Because I am obsessed with putting rocks around everything in my garden, that is in process, now that I have decided to shrink the garden down to just the herb patch. I took the cinder blocks from around the veggie bed (aka the Pack Rat Buffet) and made a little altar area.

Then I made my Reiki Grid, and added in some offering bowls and my little oil lamp. I added a chair to sit and do my energy work and meditation. I also plan to add some pavers to the area in front of the shrine to put a yoga mat when I go outside. You can see I can store stuff like lamp oil under and smaller items in the cells of the blocks. I have a Mason jar with the Healing List names tucked in under the grid so they don't get wt in the rain or blow away.

It's a work in progress, but it's a start! I'm pretty pleased with it after just an hour of work, so who knows what it will become as I spend time out there and continue to add to it. Also, since it's right under my window I will see the grid even when I'm not outside in the space, and my intention will direct energy into the grid when I catch a glimpse of it.

Serena Update, this is strange

I posted last night for Reiki and prayers for a missing 10 yr old girl, who was thankfully found late last evening. In a bizarre twist of events, my local news is today reporting that the girl's great-grandmother was reported missing at 2am Wednesday. Here is the story from the WTHR website...

TIPTON - Police have found a 10-year-old Tipton girl who went missing Tuesday evening.

Police say she was taken by a man she describes as "tall," white, about 40 years old and thin with short brown hair. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and gray shorts. He was wearing Nike tennis shoes.

Police quote the child as saying the man drove a newer, smaller silver four-door car. She told them the pair "drove around" from the time of her disappearance until she was dropped off at the Wendy's restaurant at 151st and U. S. 31 in Westfield.

She was found by Westfield police just before 11:00pm.

Tipton police had mobilized a broad search in her hometown and countywide, even using the Hamilton County sheriff's department's bloodhound search team.

Neighbors stood on street corners handing out homemade flyers with Serena Weicht's photo. Some students heading out the flyers cried when they learned she was safe and sound.

Just before 2 o'clock Wednesday morning, Noblesville police reported Weicht's great grandmother was missing. They report they were called to 74-year-old Dorothy M. Heard's Noblesville home Tuesday afternoon. At that time, they say, they were told by family members that she had been missing since Monday evening.

Family members say disappearance is uncharacteristic of Ms. Heard. They say her car was left at her home.

Dorothy Heard is a white female, 5'2' tall, weighing 137 pounds. She has gray hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Ms. Heard is urged to contact the Noblesville Police Department at (317) 776-6371.

The police agencies involved are saying that the two cases seem unrelated, other than the girl and the woman being family. I will be including this on my Reiki list tomorrow. This story was on fire on my Facebook network last night, and I know Tipton as a community mobilized instantly to find this child, and is still wondering where Dorothy is. I will post another update as this develops.

Prayers please

My Facebook is blowing up tonight with the story of a 10 yr old girl abducted while riding her bike in the next little town over from me. Please send thoughts, prayers, Reiki, and any other good JuJu to help police find Serena. She has been gone almost 5 hours now. What little info there is can be found on HERE. If you live in this area and have ANY information please call the Tipton police Dept, (765) 675-2111.
EDIT: shortly after posting this, Tipton police confirmed that Serena has been found safe. I would, however, ask you continue to send prayer to this poor child and her family.

Reiki Thursday

Welcome back to Reiki Thursday!

I have not been posting a list, because I want us all to focus on ourselves for a bit.  You all know those who need healing and prayer, and you may be needing it yourself.  We all need a recharge, a reminder that we are important, valuable, and loved.  For a while now I have been running myself too thin, and have recently been re-focusing myself to spend a little time on myself.  My family deserves for me to be my best, and I deserve just as much time and energy as I give my family, and so do you! I hope you did the meditation last week, if not go check it out, and I hope you take the few minutes to do the one I am posting this week. Once you are relaxed, positive, and grateful that is what you are putting out into the world!

Time for Reiki Thursday!

Please, please send Reiki to Haiti, either on your own or by joining in this Reiki share! I have the people of Haiti and those who have gone to help that devastated nation on my Reiki grid sending constant energy and Reiki, and would like to coordinate and effort to send healing to Haiti. I will try to post more information later, but for now if you would like to send Reiki and healing through my grid, please follow these instructions.

Please sit comfortably and quiet your mind. Focus on your breathing, and once you feel calm become aware of the energy in your body as a white or blue shell around yourself. Focus the energy into your hands, and see this energy as a rosy healing light. When you feel ready, send the energy out with intention to flow into and through the Hippie Witch Reiki grid. Focus on the picture of the grid if it helps you. Intend that the energy be gathered there and sent out with love to those in need of healing in Haiti. You may wish to end with a prayer.

The grid is designed to send a constant stream of healing to those in need, and I use it daily as a focus for my Reiki practices. I am opening the grid up for Reiki share because I believe it is the best way to coordinate sending healing for this disaster in Haiti. I thank you all for participation, and please direct your friends here to add their energy, prayers, and healing as well.

I have a lot of people participating who do not practice Reiki but are awesome at sending good thoughts and prayers to those who need a little boost of love. Reiki is about energy, directing energy to heal, and that is what you are doing when you pray for another, or think or wish good things for another. My deepest thanks to all who take the time to share your gifts through this blog. I have no real list today. I did not blog last week and collected no names for the list. Last week was personally horrible for me and I just now remembered it's Thursday. So, today I want every one of you to just send the love out into the Universe. If there is someone specific you know needs some energy, send it their way, but I would like all of you to just send it out there and let it find someone who needs it. Someone right now who is willing to open their heart to let healing begin. I know my heart is open now, and I invite the Universe to plant the seeds of healing there. Anyone who comments after this post I will add you to the list next week.
